Computer Repair
Like a car problem or a health problem, technology problems start with analysis of the symptoms and selective elimination of possible causes. Computers are made up of many different hardware components and software programs, any one of which (or more than one!) could be to blame. If your computer is not doing what it should, then some troubleshooting detective work will be needed to track down the cause of the problem. You can help us by answering the following questions:1. Can you reproduce the problem at will, or does it only appear when it wants to?2. Are there any common factors that are present when it occurs (e.g. ‘it always happens when I am writing a letter in Word’)?3. If it’s affecting a ‘shared service’ used by other computers (like the printer or the internet), are they having the same problem too?4. Has anything changed recently (e.g. has any new hardware or software been installed)?Sometimes it can be hard to tell Initially if the problem will be resoved by a mere ‘spark plug replacement’ or if it will need a ‘complete engine rebuild’ and the last thing that you want is a large surprise bill at the end. Therefore, you can expect that your Computer Troubleshooter will talk to you about your budget and will keep you informed every step of the way. If we think the problem is just not cost-effective to repair, we may even suggest that you are better spending your hard earned money on a new computer instead with a brand new warranty! You can trust that your Computer Troubleshooter has access to industry-leading processes, tools and resources to repair your computer and if needed, can call on the strength of our global team to discuss the best possible repair options and scenarios for your specific situation. After completion of the computer repair, expect a courtesy follow-up call to check that everything is still working the way that it should be.
